Sock Advent...

Here's 'z's soc advent for this year...

She needed some new socks...

And I thought this would be a fun way to present them...

Each sock has a small treat in it and is tied with a numbered tag.

It's all held to the door with magnetic hooks and they have yarn strung between them.

Clothes pegs were used to hold each sock to the yarn.

She's looking forward to unwrapping each sock...

And wearing mismatched socks until she gets a pair!

Reading 'n Relaxing...

Miss 'g2'...

Just relaxing on the couch, "reading" about bread...

Oops... she's spotted me with the camera!

And loses control of the book... 

 She's decided to get off the couch...but doesn't want to stop "reading"...

 Must be very fascinating!

 From couch to floor and still very much INTO this book!

 But she's very accommodating for her "Mammarazzi"!

I was over at a friend's place the other day...

She gave me a few to try...

I sent dh out AGAIN to get some more!

They taste great and are fun to drink too!

It's a mega BOOST of Vitamin C plus some other good things.

You add water and drink it...it's kinda fizzy...but not like soda!

They give you a bit of an energy kick-in-the-pants too!

Who couldn't use that?!

Anyhow, I am loving them and wanted to share...

Guess what we tried today...

SELF FEEDING......... PUDDING!!!!

Yes...butterscotch AND vanilla!

YUM!

They did pretty well too!

Not as much mess as I was expecting with TWO of them trying it out.

That's a VERY  good thing!

iT'S OFFICIAL...

I am fighting a rather nasty sick bug...

I actually had dh go and buy some Nyquil so I could get some sleep!!!

This stuff really burns as it goes down...

...and once it's down too!

But...it works!

Let's hope I can kick this bug to the curb before all of the Christmas festivities!

While running the bigguns spelling words with them after school, 

the little-uns like to sit in the window...

Well, they like to do that any time of day really!

Today Miss 'c' was bathed in some funky light...

Lovin' that window reflection too!

You know that saying...

"There's nothing like a good friend...

Except a good friend who has  CHOCOLATE!"

Today I had some scraptime with my friends.

One of my friends lives on the lm,

She takes a ferry to join us for the day...

She came bearing gifts today...

[She doesn't have to, but today she did!]

Great timing Miss D!

So yes, she is a good friend!

But...

...the Babez LOVE to "read"!

I was tidying up the kitchen this morning and it was too quiet in the other room...

Usually this is NOT a good thing...

I took a peek out and found them sitting quietly on the stool...

 Each one "reading" their own book!

Fortunately my camera was within reaching distance and I managed to get a quick pic!

Yes, this is a VERY good thing!

Today the babez put on their runners...

 They LOVE the sound they make on the kitchen floor...

So.....

 They spent every waking moment RUNning IN & OUT of the kitchen!

They were quite the blurry babez today!

Silly monkeys!

I woke up to...

...THIS!

I know!

I walked into the kitchen rubbing my eyes, thinking about what I was going to feed the babez for breakfast...

I stopped and then RAN to grab my camera!

Gorgeous!

Not sure if I managed to capture it very well...

but I just kept on snappin' away for several minutes until it all faded away...

What a glorious sight to have greet me!

What a way to start my day!

Thank you I appreciate it!! 

Here's what we do...

...with our 'Jack-o-lantern' when has fulfilled his Halloween duties.

That's right!

We EAT him!

As you can see, he will provide quite a few meals for us!

Currently part of him is plooping away in the crockpot...

A most delicious smelling pumpkin chili is on tonight's dinner menu!

Miss 'g2' was NOT a happy camper this morning!

She definitely had the "Can't-help-its" in abundance!!!

Meanwhile...

 this is what Miss 'c' is doing...

This babe has a "thing" for hats....

Or for having something on her head!

It could be a dishtowel, bandana or a rag!

She's not too picky really,

She just always likes her head covered!

Then moments later we find Miss 'g2' happily "reading"!

They both LOVE books!

 We read several books daily and they do have their favourites!

We read them over and over and over and over and over....

...but that's just fine with me!

And then as I am happily clicking away....

I get this shot....

LOVE those catchlights in her eyes!

They're hard to get when they run around as much as they do!

Anyway...

Such is another day here with the 'deuces wild"!

These two managed to pull together their own costumes this year!

's' is some kind of spy...looks like he's been in a scary situation!

'z' LOVES her witch costume...and she looks adorable in it too!

Feels good to have them do for themselves.

I think I could get use to more of this kind of thing!

I just had to pop outside for a quick photo opp this morning before they left for school!
