Sweet Sunny Moment...

Here's another window pic...

but this time it's 'g2' & 'z'!

'g2' had hauled the Pooh toy up onto the window sill...

'z' came along and was showing her how things worked.

I came out of the kitchen and immediately grabbed my camera!

It was such a sweet sunny moment...

I couldn't resist.

Miss 'C' reaches new heights!

Yes, she's done it again!

She was the first to figure out how to get up on the couch...

and today...

She discovered how to climb up onto the kitchen table!!!

A whole new world of possibilities has just been unlocked!

For the past several days they have enjoyed watching the activity in the neighborhood...

Across the road there is some extensive landscaping going on!

Trucks, back hoes, mini earth movers and the like.

A real live mini  'Mighty Machines' right outside their window!

The workman have waved to them too!

They LOVE it and wave back!

So cute!

These are the polar fleece sheets that I put on my bed every year when the temperature takes a dip into the single digits...

No matter how cold I am when I go to bed...

I am toasty warm within minutes.

I think I need to buy another set!

I've heard that it might be a rather chilly winter this year...

Make-Up...let the fun begin!

So today 'g' & I had a wee make up lesson with Richard at SDM.

He did a great job!

Her eyes look amazing!

I asked him to keep her looking natural

Sick babe...

Both babez have been sick...

Feeling off, got the "can't-help-its", super snotty noses.

I've wiped so much snot off noses...

I've gone through all of my boxes of tissues!

Poor wee ones...

Today was the day!!!

'g' got her braces taken OFF!

She is soooooo happy...

but you can see that!

One last ice cream sandwich...

After lunch today I was looking in the freezer for something...

And I came across the last two ice cream sandwiches that my Mom made!

I shared one with the babez... they DEVOURED it!

The last one...I ate it!

Well...I took a bite...grabbed my camera...snapped a pic...and then I ate it!

Nothing tastes more like Summer than an ice cream sandwich!

It was a lovely warm day today...the windows are open again!

A sure sign...

...that Fall has arrived.

The electric kettle gets a permanent spot on the counter!

Boiling water for herbal tea, hot chocolate or for pouring into the kiddos thermos' as a preheater 

so they can take a "hot lunch" to school.

Even as I type this at 9:37am...

I am already steeping my first cup of tea...ginger mint...

There's a chill in the house...

I've even closed a few windows and almost closed the rest...

They've been WIDE OPEN all summer!

So, it's finally OFFICIAL... FALL HAS ARRIVED!

We finally have two backpacks for carrying babez!

So today we went for a small hike at Piper's Lagoon to test them out...

'g2' had a most delicious encounter with watermelon today...

She really enjoyed bite after bite after bite after bite...

Window Watchers...

Have I said lately how much I love this window???

It gets even better though...

The neighbors across the street are having some major 'yardwork' done.

The equipment, noise and workmen keep these two glued to their spots for much of their waking day.

I think the workmen get quite a kick out of seeing these two sprites peeking down at them.

Once when I was wrangling the babez for lunch I saw one of the workmen waving at them!

Self-Feeding...

...yes, it's a very messy time indeed!

The babez really enjoy doing something for themselves...

No matter how messy she is...she's still such a love!

Pooh Corner...

When I shuffled the family room around we ended up with a small space in the corner...

I decided to plunk down a big pillow and tuck our big Pooh bear into the corner...

The babez LOVE to pull out some books and sit and "read".

Grandma came for a visit and brought the babez something FUN!

It fits BOTH babez too!

They love it and tug at it throughout the day to let me know that...

A favourite spot in our house for the babez is here...

...perched at the tippy top of the stairs right beside the locked baby gate.

They peer through the spindles and see right down to the front door.

Anyone who comes in or goes out gets greeted or good-byed by whomever's

there...

Sometimes it's just one babe...sometimes it's both babez!

Today it's just Miss 'c'.

She swung around and gave me this most sweet and serene glance...

dh assembled our new tv cabinet late last night...

I think 'g2' started this cup-sitting-spinning-on-a-stick-thing...

...but it kept them both busy for several minutes!

They were running in and out of the kitchen, dropping and then picking up their "cups" and putting them back onto the stick...

Some kind of funny almost 17 month old babez game ...

Don't ask me how it works...

But it worked for them!

The other day 's' & 'z' had gone outside to play after school...

[Gotta squeeze in that outside playtime while we still have the nice weather!]

I couldn't see them and so I went outside to see where they had gone...

's' & 'z' have spent plenty of time over the summer and having a great time too while entertaining the babez with 'Diaper Box Derby'! 

It keeps four kiddos occupied!
