This morning I had a lion for breakfast!

 She sat so nicely at my table and munched away on her breakfast...

I barely knew she was there!

 She even kept her bib ON!

She's a very sweet lion...Miss 'g2'...

LOVE IT!

Even with the dried nose emissions!

Today was my friend's 40th Birthday Celebration!

[Her bday is actually the 28th, but her Mom threw her party today.]

Tonight dh & I attended...

"Bite of Nanaimo"

It's a fundraiser for Theater One.

You buy a ticket to enter...

and then once you're inside you purchase strings of tickets...

as many as you think you'll need...

[You can always buy  more...]

This year there were 19 various eating establishments there...

They served a wide range of dishes.

Items varied from one ticket up to four tickets.

We perused the 'guide' and began making our selections...

This was such a fun thing to do!

It allowed dh to munch away on this...

Sushi...

While I enjoyed this...

Lime Cheesecake!!!

YUM!

This cute little bag of cookies was also available so we decided to take one home to the kiddos...

But....we also took some cute wee cupcakes too!

Bite size for sure!

We were both so full when we left...

One of my favourite eats of the night ...

Ribs!

Oh they were delectable!

Thee best ribs I have ever had!

The flavour was amazing with a slight burn at the end... Fabulous!

We're making a date for next year's 'Bite' already!

An enjoyable evening eating!

Piano Players!!

Even though 'g' doesn't take piano lessons, she LOVES to sit down and play us a tune or two...

She now has a partner who loves to do the same thing!

'g2' really enjoys the time she spends with her big sis @ the piano.

It's truly music to my ears!

Play on girls!

Woohooooooo!

THIS is often what I see when I walk out of the kitchen to check on the babez...

A few weeks ago I purchased a foot stool...

dh put it together...

I wanted to leave it in the babez play area so they could get use to it...

[I'm prepping for potty training...]

But Miss 'g2' decided to shimmy it up to the back of the couch...

She now uses it to boost herself up  and over!

She loves it and does it MANY times a day!!!

She thinks it's such a gas!

Silly monkey!

So cute!!!

Today dh & I popped over to one of my favorite local Thrift Shoppes...

Just as I was walking towards the check out...

I spied this wee fellow...

LOOOOOOVE it!

Had to have it!

Good thing it was only a few pennies!

LOVE the colour!

LOVE the texture of the glass!

LOVE the raised printing on the glass!

Super cute teeny size!

Perfect for a single flower or a small bunch of field flowers!

It happened...

I knew it would eventually happen...

Miss 'c' figured out how to unlock the gate...

So now I use a bandana to tie the gate to the railing...

She has made her way past the gate a few times...

They BOTH have!!!

Where did I find them?

In their room playing!!!

It takes them NO time at all to do it either!

Scared me, especially since there are 13 steps RIGHT THERE!

But I was smart...

As soon as they could walk steadily, I started having them walk to their room from the living room...

for naptime and night time...

So they know the way into their room.

I am certain that this is the reason that they haven't been curious about those stairs...

That and there must be a guardian angel stationed at the top!
Now that the bandana is "in place" they can still unlock the gate,
but they can't move it enough to squiggle through!

You just know when it's quiet...too quiet in the house...

that the babez are into something that they shouldn't be...

So today... it happened!

I KNEW what they were doing...so I grabbed my camera on my way into the kitchen...

I was ready and snapped this pic of the "deuces wild" when I peeked around the corner of the cabinet...

 Miss 'c' squeals/screeches because she KNOWS they're not suppose to be in there and they've been BUSTED!!!!!

But Miss 'g2' dives into the cupboard STILL in pursuit of the "loot"!

 Here she is trying to look all innocent...

She's been caught "red handed"!

They have really stepped up their curiosity of EVERYTHING...

They're getting bigger and stronger and figuring out how to move things so they can get INTO things!!!

 They keep me on my toes ALL  day long!

Especially when 'g2' decides to nap for only 30 minutes...

I could use a nap!

So the other day dh tells me that he ordered something for me online and that if a box arrived I wasn't suppose to open it...

HELLO....how long have we been married?

You'd think he would know by now my lack of self control over such things!

I get them...I OPEN THEM!!!

However...after school is a very busy time and it was 'z' who discovered the package on the step...

So I didn't end up opening it...

dh did after supper when he asked me if anything came that day and I remembered that it had and I had 'z' put it downstairs because I was busy making supper!

Whew! Did you get all that?!

So what was IN the package?

This....

 A variety of bath fizzers and bubble bars!

Everything smells wonderful!

After enjoying some turkey leftovers we went out for a lovely walk @ Buttertubs Marsh!

It was a beautiful sunshiny afternoon!

We had our BIG dinner today!

Then we get to enjoy leftovers for the remaining holidays!

She did eat turkey and yams first...

But then it was all about the pickle...well...pickles!

'S' started piano lessons today...

Trash the Dress!

So I have a few friends...

These gals can crack me up!

One of my friends recently celebrated 25 years of marriage!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

We were discussing the recent trend of 

"Trash the Dress" photo shoots...

She approached her dh about it and he said yes!

My friend 'DP' & I were already headed to the lm for an overnight visit with another dear friend of ours,

so we decided to 'make it happen'!!!

Oh my!

What an absolute honour, pleasure, blast it was!!!

We ended up 'shooting' for almost 5 hours!

Sooooo FUN!!!

This was a pic that "the Bride's" dh snapped just as we were ready to head to the ferry...

The dress isn't too trashed....but it was rather dirty along the bottom...

And DJ's 'bottom' & skirt were soaked!

She ended up with her keister in the creek!

DP "shot" people and I was there as a people wrangler, reflector holder and various other duties...

However THIS is the pic that cracks me up!!!

I won't go in to why it was so funny...

Because it probably won't be so funny to you!

Suffice it to say that my sides were sore from laughing and I was glad

to have NOT peed my pants either!!!

It was a most hilarious time!

Scrappin' Sistas Together Again!!!

My Two Little Monkeys...

I just HAD to get one of these monkey costumes from The Children's Place...

I waited for a SALE, of course!

Fortunately my friend also had a similar experience and so I borrowed hers and  was able to snap a few pics of my two monkeys!

Today I did some swishin'!

[swishin' = laundry]

When I removed the babez laundry from the dryer I discovered that the socks weren't quite dry...

Instead of tossing the wee thingz back into the dryer [and making my hydro meter spin faster] I decided to hang the wee socks over the branches of my orange tree in a sunny window. 

So this became my potd.

[It was dh's suggestion!]

Get Your Halloween ON!

October is HERE!

Today we thought we would celebrate the start of this wonderful month by letting 'g2' get her Halloween ON!

I found this fun onesie last year...

I bought a bigger size so that she would be able to wear it for more than just one year.

It's not real "in your face" Halloween.

Plus I think it's super cute!
