Baptism Day!

Today was the day chosen for Miss 'Z' to be baptized!

We believe that at the age of 8 a child is old enough to know wrong from right and therefore is at an appropriate age for baptism.

Crazy Carrot!

I picked some carrots from the garden this morning...

HAD to grab my camera once I had them all washed up!

Someday when I have a kitchen BIG enough to have art hanging on the wall...

I am going to get enlargements made of three or five of my favourite shots and have them as my art!

I have several favourites from the 46 that I took...

Yes, 46...do you have a problem with that?!?

Block Bin Buddies...

Here they are BOTH trying to get IN to the block bin...

Even though 'g2' is sitting IN the bin...

'c' just has to keep trying to squeeze in too!

They're just "two cute"!!!

Let the 'Feng'... 'Shui'!!!

My Mom came up for a visit to help me 'catch-up' on a few things around the house.

The few things that were on my list did NOT get done...

What did I do?

I cleared out the "storage room"!!!

MY bedroom had turned into the "storage room" over the past several months.

The house we live in has minimal storage space...

NOT something I am use to.

So... whenever I rearranged a room or had to shuffle thingz around and something wouldn't fit...

WHERE did I put it?

IN MY BEDROOM!

But TODAY I was given a few uninterrupted hours to completely focus on and deal with the thingz that were accumulating and clogging up the feng that couldn't shui in my bedroom.

THANK YOU MOM!!!

And when I had cleared out the clutter and dejunked the space I was inspired to add a little sum'n sum'n to my new "creative canvas".

I had picked some Sweet Peas in the morning and had them in my kitchen.

I decided that I would LOVE to sleep with their scent whirling about me and so I took that lovely bouquet and brought it into my room.

Then I saw my Grandma's watch that I was given when she passed away...

I decided to have it drape around the 'vase'.

Here's how it looked...

btw... my 'vase' is an old vanilla bottle...

I have a "thing" for clear, groovy shaped glass bottles.

The scent is heavenly and every time I pass my 'art-piece' I think of my Grandma.

It's a lovely calm feeling in my hurried scurried dailiness.

And would you look at that...

NO stacks of ANYTHING on that bench!

Perhaps someday I will have a bigger bedroom and I can really learn all about Feng Shui in my bedroom...

For now I am so excited to have the energy and air flowing through my bedroom again!

Firey Floral...

I am not quite sure what this plant is called...

But I think it`s blazing red yearly display is

SPECTACULAR!

Crazy, Kooky Cilantro!

Ok, so remember me?

The one who can NOT grow Cilantro...

I was out poking around in the garden and WHAT did my wondering eyes did I see?

CILANTRO!!!

Not just one but TWO plants growing in MY garden!!!

Did I plant them?

NO!

Was I happy to see them?

YES!

They must have popped up from one of the plants that has gone to seed.

There`s been plenty...

The thing is, they`re no where near where any of them have been!

No worries...

I`ll take them growing anywhere!

I absolutely LOVE the flavor it imparts.

SO delish!

Canopy Assembly...

One more thing to help with the sweltering temperatures we've been dealing with lately...

dh & ds assembled the canopy and now we have SHADE in

the backyard!
