So I headed off to my favourite thrift shoppe today because my oldest dd needed some thingz...

When I walked in I was told that today they were having a "Bag Sale"!!!!

Bag sale? Did she say bag sale!!!

Would you look at that!!!

This red table has been buried under some 'stuff' in the basement for a while...
But now... you can SEE it, it's cleared and ready for any creative endeavor that anyone may want to embark on!
This red table is PROGRESS!!! I know it may not look like much, but it is!
20 minutes a day... bit by bit... box by box.. 20 minutes by 20 minutes...that's all it takes...until it's done!
'z' is enjoying having it back "in play"!
She LOVES to sit and draw, do puzzles, paint, colour...

Family Day...

Today we ALL hopped on the ferry and attended the open house at the 

Vancouver (Langley), British Columbia Temple.

The kids enjoyed the trip.

It was a long day.

Travelling with the babez was ...

...there's two of them...

...and they missed their naps & cribs.

It's good to get home and I'm going to bed early.

I have recently been resorting/reorganizing/tidying my scrapspace.

I was asked to post a pic of my pegboard...

It's not purdy, it's functional.

I call it "the wall"...

dh calls it "the store"

So I figured why not make it my potd.

This one's for you Ann!

Each peg is sorted into categories and each category has a tag.

I also have a "map" of "the wall".

If I need to find a specific category and my brain/eyes are having

difficulty locating it I can 'consult' the map!

Note to self:  Make sure 's' knows there ARE Cheerios on the kitchen table and he can give them some...

She DUMPS it out, picks the Cheerios off the floor, eats them and then proceeds to flip the bowl and watch it spin, spin, SPIN! 

I think I'll stick with the way I like 'em...

We had company Tuesday and Wednesday...

before my Mom left she bought me some flowers!

 My sister and Mom arranged them and now they are sitting on my dining room table for all...

but particularly ME to enjoy!

So we 'christened' it today with our company!

I've been working on this album for my niece and her hubby... I completed it, as much as possible, TODAY! I'd like to get her input on a couple of thingz and then tweak the last few bitz... so glad to have this DONE! Aren't they a GORGEOUS couple?!!! I think so too!!! They celebrated their first anniversary in February! Happy Anniversary Kidz! Here's to many, many, MANY MORE!!!

The "tent" is back!

I try to keep my camera ready and close at hand... However, I don't know what happened to the settings today... I must have turned the dial when I turned the camera on... Anyhow... the few pics I did snap were less than good... So I decided to just mess with them even more!!! The tent table is back and the babez are having a squealing good time! They were so busy crawling in and out... One of them would peek out and then go get a toy and take it back underneath...then another babe would go and get another toy... When it came time to tidy up I had to make sure I checked "in the tent" because there would be several toys hangin' out! They [the babez, not the toys] definitely keep each other occupied! THIS is a very GOOD THING!!!  Here's Miss 'c' emerging from the tent table... She saw the camera and made a mad dash for it! I snapped several pics and didn't look at the display screen until later...then I looked at the dial and realized that it was NOT on any setting I am qualified to use!!! LOL.... Enjoy Miss Schmoop in all her gooey glory! She is today's potd!

My Walkers!!!

Here they are...my walkers! I can't call them runners because I don't 'run' in them... I walk...rather quickly! I found these at a local 2nd hand store for $6.00! I figured it wouldn't hurt to give them a try... I've had horrendous problems with fitting my feet into any sort of athletic shoes for years!!! To the point of blisters and such! I have NO trouble at all with these!!! Soooo happy about that!!! Anyhow... I've started walking with a friend/neighbor three times a week. It feels good to get out there again!!! As the days start to lengthen out we're going to add some more days in there. Today we went for our longest sojourn yet... 1 hour 15 minutes! Yes it was raining out, yes I was soaked when I returned and yes... I could have cared less! It was great!!!

Well, what fun we had going through shirts, skirts, dresses, pants, shorts, t-shirts, sweatshirts, tank tops, pajamas, hats and belts trying EVERYTHING on!!! Well over 60 pieces of clothing!!!

One Tiny Tear...

This potd sums up our week... It has been a rather bumpy one... make that a few... babez and I have been sparring with snot waterfalls, headaches and sick bugs for almost three weeks now... It just seems like we are "on the mend" and then it starts 'flowing' all over again! I HAD several boxes of tissue stored in my laundry room... there might be one left... I think... This morning when I put them down for a nap they would have NOTHING to do with it! I tried settling one or the other several times and then finally they were both so BEYOND help... I decided to "let them out"... I took them out of their cribs and placed them on the floor hoping that a bit of crawling might distract them from their current "state"... I was at a loss as to how to console/help them... nothing I was doing seemed to make any difference anyhow... They quickly emerged from their room and when they saw me they BOTH stopped, sat down and started WAILING again! What did I do? Grabbed my camera!!! I figured I'd better document this moment... it won't last forever, even though it seems so at times... Well as soon as they saw the camera they STOPPED crying! They are really fascinated with the camera... particularly the swinging lens cap (which I sometimes forget to hang on to) and the camera strap (which I normally wrap around my hand several times to "hide" it)... Anyway... 'g2' spies something sitting in the hallway and crawls over to investigate it... while Miss 'c' does what any 'Diva' babe would do... with her 'plug' still in her mouth and the "perfect" teency tear perched on her cheek she glances up at the sky light and BAM... there's the shot!!! AND I captured it!!! I can't tell you how tickled I was when I saw it on my camera's display screen!!! I knew it HAD to be today's potd. Yes, THIS picture sums up today perfectly... Well actually not only today... but yesterday... last week...and the week before that...

The Underneath...

Just what is this? 

Why am I taking a picture of it?

What significance does it have in my everyday?

Let me tell you...

THIS is the underside of my dining room table.

I'm taking a picture of it because as I was laying on the floor playing with the babez today, I looked up and realized how gorgeous it is! Just look at the grain of the wood and the workmanship in the construction. I also LOVE the numbers and letters that are stamped on it too... you know me and all things texty/numerally!!!

So, why is this significant... 

I spend a lot of time on the floor with the babez...

This week has been a particularly bumpy one...

All three of us have been battling "sick" for the past three weeks...

It appears that we are getting better and then the 'snot patrol' needs recruiting again!

There are many thingz that I NEED to maintain everyday.

There are some thingz that I would like to see progress on and then there are a few thingz that I just NEED to be able to play with everyday to keep all of my marbles "in the bag!" 

As I was playing 'Human Jungle-gym' today, I saw a different perspective of this table.

I saw that it was just as loverly underneath (perhaps even more so, to me) as it was above.

It's all about perspective...

Regardless of our circumstances, we can find beauty in our surroundings.

What we are doing today won't be what we are doing in 10 years...possible even one year!

So we need to take the time to appreciate what we are seeing/doing now... what can we learn from it?

Are we suppose to be learning a lesson from it?

There are many questions we could be asking ourselves...

...some of us may not have the time to be asking them right now...

...we may have to wait for another time to ask...

...or to receive the answer...

But I think that in the meantime, we could 'ponder'...

Ponder the question... ponder many questions... ponder some possible answers...

ponder the lessons...  

Pondering, for me, is letting my mind wander to wherever it wants to go in regards to a certain topic.

It allows my brain to relax and open up to ideas the I might not have considered or thought of before...

That's how it works for me.

This new look at the underside of my dining room table allowed my mind to ponder just where I was today and to appreciate where I was and to live IN the moment and learn from whatever was around me.

Who would have guessed such a lesson could have been learned from laying on the floor while two sick, snotty babez crawled up and over Mt. Mom!

Eleven Months!!!

First Day of School - Spring 2010!!!

It's the first day of school for Spring 2010 and what do the kiddos want to do???

Wear SHORTS to school!!! So this just HAD to be my potd!!!

The weather has been most delightful lately..although it can change at any time!!!

We'll enjoy this most beautiful day and hope for more many more!

Tunnel of Fun!

Today a box became a tunnel! More squealing and laughing was heard from both babez as they crawled back and forth through the tunnel over and over and over again!!!  Boxes, they're WONDERFUL multi-functional toys!!!

Tentastic!!!

Today we turned the dining room table into a tent!!! It's amazing how simply tossing a blanket over a table transforms it! I caught Miss 'g2' emerging through the fringe and THIS is my picture of the day! Just look at those catch lights in her eyes and her glistening bottom lip! I spent quite a while underneath MYSELF! The babez were crawling into and out of the tent...squealing and laughing! It was so sweet to watch them, very enjoyable moments indeed! A "Tentastic" time was had by all!

Sox Sale!!!

It was a super sunny day here so the babez & I strolled up to the mall.
A certain store was having a sale and we needed some car seats!
We spotted the stack of boxes and snapped up TWO!
Sauntering down an aisle I also spied some super sweet sox ON SALE so...
I scooped some up!
Gotta LOVE a super sale on sox!
SCORE!!!

Cookie Monster!

Well, not really a cookie... a biscuit!
A favorite post dinner nibble for the babez is an Arrowroot biscuit.
They know the crunch of the packaging so well that I have to make sure they are ALL DONE with dinner BEFORE I even think about reaching for them.
ALL eating comes to a complete halt and BOTH heads snap to 'attention' when the crinkling is heard.

Yes, this is our bookshelf... well ONE of them...
The babez actually have a whole bin FULL of board books...
But lately they can be found over at this bookshelf...perusing the numerous titles...pulling a few off...and occasionally chewing on a corner....
See...

I don't want to discourage them so I make sure to keep an eye/ear out and we often stop and 'read' a few pages out of the 'paper-pages' books.
You're never too young to love books!
